The role We're looking for a talented individual to join our Development Construction team and manage the delivery of a portfolio of schemes. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a track record in hitting tough targets for delivery of schemes to practical completion. With a 'can do' attitude and experience in development construction delivery, you will provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients. You will be positive in your outlook and a perennial high achiever working well under pressure. Leading and managing a team to deliver a programme of developments through to handover and final evaluation, as well as project managing individual schemes. In addition, you will be managing budgets and programmes to ensure target are met including the portfolio of schemes are handed over on time, on budget and to agreed standards. You will lead in the responsibility of resolving construction issues, taking corrective action when necessary and adhering to compliance regulation requirements. This role is offered on Fixed Term Basis until 30 January 2026 with 35 hours per week and hybrid arrangements. Flexible office location based in our offices in London, Kent or Sussex, covering schemes in all operational areas. What you'll need: You'll have substantial proven experience of working in the social housing sector in a development or construction environment with a track record of successfully taking housing schemes through to practical completion. You'll have a good understanding of contract law and different types of building contracts. You'll have a good understanding of planning, building regulations, building safety compliance and audit compliance. You'll possess excellent negotiation and communication skills and be able to demonstrate how you value, create and sustain stakeholder relationships. You'll have demonstrable experience of risk management and mitigation. You'll be analytical in your approach and be able to interrogate financial information. You'll be fully self-sufficient, organised and proficient in IT and Microsoft applications including word and excel, and ideally be educated to degree/HND level or equivalent; or working towards attaining or membership of the RICS or CIOB.
