HV Cable Service Engineer
Location: Scotland but will require flexibility and willingness to travel and work at site.
NKT is a vital part of the green energy transformation; working on large interconnectors, onshore cable systems and substations. NKT is continuing a major expansion of its UK operations.
As a HV Service Engineer, you will be engaged on the planning, delivery and installation of Service UK & I projects and Service Level Agreements.
What You’ll Do
1. Lead and support site work routines and service operations (Oil Filled / LPOF).
2. Collaborate across departments and contribute to service meetings and reviews.
3. Provide technical and commercial support to Service Sales.
4. Manage service agreements, including documentation, client meetings, and inventory.
5. Assist with financial tracking and invoicing.
6. Support tender processes with operational input and documentation.
7. Plan and execute site work with internal teams and clients.
8. Ensure compliance with QHSE policies and lead risk assessments (RAMS/SJA/HAZOP/HAZID).
9. Compile technical and quality reports, and contribute to lessons learned.
What You’ll Bring
10. Qualifications in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or extensive experience in the HV cable industry, including fluid, gas, and XLPE cable technologies.
11. A proven track record of successfully delivering projects and service level agreements.
12. Solid engineering experience within HV cable projects or services.
13. Relevant business or technical education and knowledge.
14. Ability to work effectively in multinational, multidisciplinary teams, with strong collaboration and communication skills.

The role will be predominately based from our premises in Scotland (Central Belt) but will require flexibility and willingness to travel and work at site. The number of travel days per year varies and the length of each assignment can vary. The role also offers flexibility to work from home for periods agreed with your line manager.
Frequent travel required at short notice dependant on assignment and service agreement.
