We are looking for an enthusiastic physician to join the GIM Team at Furness General Hospital. The post holder would be expected to share in the duties of the care of 24 patients on our GIM ward. This is a full time (10PA) post incorporating personal SPA time and an opportunity to work with a specialist team should the chosen clinician have a specific interest in a speciality. There will be an expectation to cover an on‑call 1‑11 rota which attracts a further 1PA and 3% supplement to the right candidate.

UHMBT provide clinical placements for Medical Students from Lancaster Medical School and Medical Students and Student Physician Associates from the University of Central Lancashire. We also provide training for our doctors in training, specialty doctors and GP trainees as well as supporting the development of our consultant educators.

Anyone newly appointed to the trust under the Agenda For Change contract, will be subject to the completion of a satisfactory 6 month probationary period. This will give the new staff member an opportunity to become familiar with the role and working environment.
