Overview
Field Officer - Electronic Monitoring at Serco. Location: Ilford and surrounding area.
Join a team delivering electronic monitoring services that support public safety and help individuals reintegrate into the community.
Responsibilities
* Visit individuals in their homes to install tagging equipment, working alone or with a Monitoring Support Officer.
* Build trust with individuals and explain the safety implications of the monitoring and the role of the justice system.
* Contribute to reducing pressure on the prison system by enabling appropriate community supervision.
* Receive three weeks of training and be mentored on the road until comfortable in the role.
* Adhere to contractual requirements and apply professional standards in line with the Equality Act 2010 where applicable.
* Operate across a range of shifts (days, weekends, bank holidays) with an average 37.5-hour week on a rolling rota (evening shifts 5pm–1am). Flexibility to start earlier or finish later as required.
What you need to do the job
* Be committed to making a difference in the lives of others; prior work experience is not required, as training will cover 2 weeks of initial learning plus shadowing and mentorship.
* Hold a current valid UK driver’s license.
* Be reasonably fit and possess good written and verbal communication skills for building relationships with individuals and stakeholders.

* All offers are subject to Baseline Personnel Standard Security vetting (identity checks, basic criminal record check, and verification of last 3 years of employment/education).
