Protocol Education are partnering with secondary schools across Telford and Wolverhampton who are on the lookout for confident, adaptable Cover Supervisors to step in when teachers are away and keep the day ticking along nicely.
It’s a hands-on classroom role, perfect if you’re thinking about teaching in the future, returning to education, or keen to gain solid school experience without the full teaching workload.
The role
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll lead lessons using pre-prepared materials. The planning’s done for you. Your job is to bring calm, consistency, and a steady presence so pupils stay focused and learning stays on track.
What you’ll be doing
• Supervising lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Following the school’s behaviour policy to create a positive learning space
• Supporting pupils with their work, including those with additional needs
• Delivering set work clearly and keeping lessons moving
What we’re looking for
• Right to work in the UK, passport or BRP with share code
• Overseas Police Check if you’ve lived abroad
• Experience working with young people, whether that’s in schools, youth work, sports coaching, tutoring, or similar
• Confident communication and a steady classroom presence
• A calm, professional approach, even when the day gets busy
Nice to have, not essential
• Training or qualifications in education, childcare, or youth work

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
