Job summary

University Hospitals of North Midlands is currently unable to provide sponsorship for this role. This is in accordance with UKVI guidelines and legislation, as these roles do not meet the skill nor salary threshold for sponsorship. If you hold a graduate visa, you are welcome to apply for this role; however it is important to note that UHNM will be unable to offer sponsorship at the end of your graduate visa. You must also have at least six months until your graduate visa expires at the start of your employment for training and operational reasons.

Clinical Support Worker, Critical Care Unit, Pods 3-6

Job type: Permanent

Working pattern: 36 hours per week, full rotational post - part-time considered

Staff Group: Nursing/Midwifery

Specialty/Function: Critical Care Unit - Pods 3-6

As a Clinical Support Worker on Critical Care you will be required to provide support in the provision of care for critically ill patients.


Main duties of the job

Providing support to the nursing team who are caring for Level 3 and Level 2 patients and undertaking other appropriate duties as directed by the nurse in charge.

Person Specification


Qualifications (Essential)

* Evidence of good numeracy and literacy
* Functional Skills Level 1 Math & English


Qualifications (Desirable)

* Hold or be working towards a vocational qualification in a care environment such as NVQ Level 2 qualification
* Functional Skills level 2 or grade C/4 or above GCSE English and Maths
* Care Certificate


Experience (Essential)

* Prior experience in an acute care setting


Experience (Desirable)

* Experience in a Level 2 facility
