As a CS, you will play a key part in maintaining a positive, structured, and productive learning environment. As a Cover Supervisor, you will: Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring pupils remain on task with set work. Manage classroom behaviour effectively, following school policies and procedures. Support students’ learning by providing encouragement and maintaining a positive classroom environment. Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans across a range of subjects and year groups. Report any issues or progress to senior staff or class teachers as required. Requirements for the Cover Supervisor role: A degree or relevant experience working with young people in an educational setting. Strong communication and behaviour management skills. The ability to stay calm, confident, and professional in a classroom environment. A genuine interest in supporting student development and wellbeing. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any employment gaps.
