Client Details
My client are a market leading manufacturer, installer and service provider for fire and smoke protection systems and are trusted to protect the world's most prestigious buildings with innovative and discreet fire protection systems for buildings.
Working with architects to revolutionise the way they design buildings they provide bespoke products that are fitted in buildings around the world and specified where performance is critical across many building applications such as airports, shopping centres, railway stations, offices, hotels, museums, factories and many other public spaces across the built environment.
Due to continued investment, growth and expansion a newly created opportunity has become available for a Commercial Director on the Senior Leadership team.
This Senior Director will have overarching responsibility for driving revenue growth at targeted margins across business development, project delivery and service delivery with a focus on financial performance and customer experience.
This role will have key focus on leading the commercial teams who are focused on the day-to-day delivery of installations, maintenance and service contracts of the fire protection systems alongside UK sales, business development and export sales.
Description
· Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets in the UK and international markets
· Lead, mentor and develop the sales, marketing, export, service, commercial projects teams (circa 70 employees), providing guidance and an environment in which they can thrive and achieve their potential
· Oversee the management and development of key customers, fostering strong working relationships to drive both UK and Export growth
· Continue the growth of company across global markets into new territories, assessing the market potential and identifying and developing relationships with new distributors
· Lead the marketing efforts to enhance brand visibility, marketing positioning and customer engagement delivering on marketing projects
· Ensure the successful delivery of projects and installations driving a culture of excellence, client satisfaction and adherence to quality standards
· Provide strategic direction for the service and maintenance department, driving growth through a structured approach to sales, delivery and resourcing within the team
· Take ownership of financial performance metrics, working to achieve and exceed revenue targets while maintaining and improving margins
· Drive high performing teams through excellent leadership, management, development opportunities and engagement
Profile
· Proven track record of driving business growth and leading sales, service, maintenance and installation teams.
· Excellent leadership abilities to inspire team to achieve
· Experience within construction/manufacturing sectors, including project specification and project sales and delivery
· Proven experience in leading and managing complex specified projects through architects, specifiers, contractors and end-customers
· Experience of selling or installing safety critical systems and knowledge of the fire safety sectors would be desired but not essential
· Solid understanding of business financials
· ERP related experience again would be preferred
· Located within commuting distance of Head Office in Hampshire or ability to relocate
