Job Description:
Direct Medics are working in partnership with an NHS Trust in the Midlands to recruit an experienced and dedicated Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) to join the Substance Misuse service across Staffordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled practitioner with a passion for supporting individuals affected by drug and alcohol misuse. Full time hours, 9am-5pm.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver clinical interventions to service users accessing substance misuse support.
* Prescribe for both alcohol and opiate substitution treatments.
* Conduct clinical reviews and manage an independent caseload post-induction.
* Work in line with best practice regarding Blood Borne Viruses (BBVs), needle and syringe programmes (NSP), detox and rehab pathways.
* Accurately input and manage clinical records (Illy system experience desirable; training provided)
Requirements
* Registered Pharmacist OR Nurse (GPhC or NMC Registration)
* Non-Medical Prescribing Qualification
* Experience working as an Independent NMP within a drug and alcohol service
* Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
