Boeing Global Services, Consumables & Expendables (C&E) Distribution Business is looking for a Senior Procurement Agent for our Burgess Hill, UK facility.
The Procurement Agent will be an integral member of the Boeing Distribution Procurement team. Provides oversight and management of supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance. Leads negotiation of pricing and contract terms and conditions. Prepares and executes negotiation strategies resulting in contractual documents and binding agreements. Interprets and enforces contract terms and conditions. Consults with external customers to resolve supplier performance issues. Leads supplier performance teams to develop strategic supplier solutions across programs and commodities. Participates on supply chain process improvement teams and identifies improvement opportunities for potential integration into supplier contract strategies.
As a Senior Procurement Agent (Buyer) you will:
1. Integrate program, customer, product, and in-service strategies into source selection, negotiation, and contracting strategies.
2. Conduct tenders (RFQ/RFP) and bid comparisons for the procurement of consumables in the aviation industry.
3. Independently negotiate and finalize agreements with national and international suppliers, demonstrating exceptional negotiating and communication skills.
4. Analyze and evaluate statistical data to create a foundation for optimized procurement strategies and efficient price negotiations.
5. Provide recommendations and select suppliers based on thorough analysis and evaluation.
6. Collaborate cross-functionally and with suppliers to resolve payment issues and develop strategic supplier solutions across programs and commodities.
7. Lead supplier performance teams to initiate and execute supplier improvement activities, integrating results into contracting strategies.
8. Participate in supply chain process improvement teams and identify opportunities for potential integration into supplier contract strategies.
Requirements:
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
9. Completed a commercial apprenticeship, primarily as a wholesale and foreign trade clerk, industrial clerk, or similar, or a degree in supply chain management or a related field.
10. Proven experience in purchasing, with a strong track record of successful negotiations and supplier management.
11. Excellent written and spoken English skills are essential.
12. Proficient in the use of the MS Office package, particularly Excel, to facilitate daily tasks and data analysis.
13. Experience with contract management and compliance, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
14. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
15. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
16. Familiarity with supply chain management software and tools is a plus.
17. Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in procurement and supply chain management.
18. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
