DEPARTMENT: BBC Studios Finance - Talent Accounting LOCATION: London - Hybrid PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: up to £30,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. London Weighting (£5,441) will be added on top of the base salary.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Join BBC Studios' Finance team as a Royalty Assistant and help ensure rights holders are paid accurately and on time. You'll play a key role in administering royalty accounting terms across global distribution activities, supporting BBC Studios' reputation and content acquisition strategy.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT
Analyse rights acquisition agreements to determine royalty and reporting obligations.
Set up royalty accounting terms in CASPAR, referencing historic agreements.
Coordinate monthly data uploads from BBCS systems to enable royalty calculations.
Review and validate royalty accruals and payments to meet contractual deadlines.
Resolve queries from internal and external stakeholders with clarity and professionalism.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
Strong aptitude for database and analytical work, with ability to summarise complex data.
Highly numerate with a methodical approach and keen eye for detail.
Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage tight deadlines.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Confident liaising with senior staff across departments.
DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED
Background in accounting and/or legal fields.
Experience interpreting complex financial and contractual information.
Familiarity with royalty systems (training provided over 6 months).
Understanding of media rights and distribution agreements.
