Business Development & Solutions Manager

Location: Maidenhead, Berkshire - Hybrid

Reporting to: Managing Director and Director of Access Solutions (Matrix Structure)

About the Role

As a key member of our business development function, you’ll focus on market research, developing healthcare solutions for our clients, designing and delivering proposal pitches and driving account growth. You’ll follow a structured development and mentoring plan, progressing towards the role of Manager of Access Solutions and beyond, with increasing responsibility based on your performance and capability.

Key Responsibilities

* Conduct in-depth market research and analysis on prescription medicines, therapies, patient pathways, and the NHS/pharmaceutical landscape.
* Understanding the barriers and challenges that prevent patients receiving rapid access to therapies and treatments.
* Develop and design bespoke patient support programmes and other innovative solutions for our pharmaceutical clients, collaborating across the Business Development, Operations and Compliance teams.
* Support stakeholder mapping, workshop material development, and co-creation sessions with pharmaceutical clients and NHS stakeholders.
* Assist with training, post-implementation reviews, and continuous improvement cycles.
* Draft reports, collate data, and help finalise project outputs.
* Create and deliver engaging pitch presentations and support responses to RFPs.
* Participate in client meetings and workshops, with ongoing coaching from the Director of Access Solutions.
* Follow a bespoke personal development program, rotating through business development, marketing, and innovation hubs.

* Confident public speaker, able to engage senior stakeholders and converse on strategic issues.




Desirable Knowledge & Skills

* Ability to quickly assimilate information and translate concepts into actionable plans.
* Proven commercial experience (or strong interest) in healthcare, NHS, or pharmaceutical industry.
* Interest in learning new technologies to enhance commercial abilities.
* Project management and negotiation skills.
* Exposure to innovation, market research, or project delivery (ideal but not essential).
* Knowledge of the ABPI Code of Practice and other relevant regulatory codes (ideal but not essential).
* High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel).
