Senior Production Technician - Maintenance Purpose of Role Undertakes maintenance/operations tasks and providing technical support, having full regard to Site Licence requirements, Statutory Regulations and Company and Location Directives, Procedures and Safety Rules. Key Duties/Responsibilities/Accountabilities - Obtaining technical direction from relevant Engineers, as required. - Investigating plant faults and carrying out maintenance, health physics and operational work as appropriate within his/her own level of competence. - Examining plant faults to identify causes and propose solutions. Where necessary this will be in the form of written reports. - Carrying out engineering of work order cards and preparing risk assessments. - Carrying out data analysis and where appropriate advising on requirements for additional work e.g. condition monitoring. - Approving work documentation and work order cards and where appropriate carrying out Passport authorisation. - Working and liaising with project engineers and contractors, monitoring quality, holding safety documents and providing a link with the Site work control system. - Comply with the Health, Safety, Security, Environmental and Quality policies, procedures, work instructions and risk assessments. Support the continuous improvement of Health, Safety Environment and Quality on Site. - The post holder will be expected to support delivery within his or her range of skills, knowledge, experience and competence. - The post holder may be required to carry out additional identified roles as necessary. - The post holder may be required to fulfil a role in the Site Emergency Scheme. Supervision of routine maintenance /operational work such as interlock checks - Preparing CAT3 submissions when trained. - Support colleagues learning and development through knowledge sharing, task instruction etc. - Design, delivery and evaluation of training, acting as coach and mentor. EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS / TRAINING - BTEC Level 3 or ONC, NQF level 3 or equivalent in a technical discipline or proven technical knowledge to an equivalent level. - Experience in a technical discipline in an industrial environment. - Relevant knowledge of industrial safety standards and procedures. Desirable - Relevant knowledge of radiological and nuclear related plant including relevant safety standards and procedures. - Competent in electrical/mechanical/C&I fault finding to maximise safe working and minimising machinery non availability.
