As a vital member of our safety team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Community Safety Manager in delivering rail safety awareness sessions across our route and engaging with our communities. Not only will you manage the Wessex school database, but you will also be at the forefront of handling correspondence and delivering rail safety sessions when required. This multifaceted role offers a unique blend of administrative and hands-on responsibilities, allowing you to make a tangible impact on promoting community safety in the rail industry.

About the role (External)
Key Accountabilities
1. Provide a professional, consistent and effective project management support service within Shared Services in accordance with Network Rail and Route Services governance processes and standards.
2. Maintaining and driving credible plans updating key stakeholders on progress. Tracking actions of the full lifecycle of the project through to delivery.
3. Proactively support the Project Operations Manager in managing the full suite of Shared Services projects.
4. Build and maintain relationships with business representatives and stakeholders.
5. Act as the primary support point of contact for all shared services projects tracking all issues and working with the Project Operations Manager to certify all issues and concerns have mitigation.
6. Develop and integrate effective support systems to enable the Project Operations Manager to manage and control change.
7. Develop / continually improve relations with key stakeholders, work with the Project Operations Manager to embed a customer centric culture.
8. Operate within the pre-agreed control framework within projects, demonstrate a control mind set. Continually review the local framework for adherence, where gaps are identified take personal ownership to define, socialise and embed improvements. Work with all parties to reduce risk and the cost of control within your team and the wider centre.
9. Support the Network Rail better day every day initiative by highlighting areas of potential improvement at the daily / weekly focus groups.
Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Essential
• Working towards or willing to work towards gaining a Project Management Qualification (e.g. PMI, Prince, MSP, Agile, APM Project, PFQ)
• Knowledge and experience of supporting projects through to delivery
• Exceptional customer focus/engagement/stakeholder management skills
• Proven influencing, networking and stakeholder engagement skills
• Organised and self-starter with a keen eye for detail
• Experience working at a senior level within a multi-faceted organisation
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Passionate about working with diverse communities
Desirable
• Occupational knowledge of shared service subject areas
• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• ORACLE eBusiness Suite experience
