Network Analyst (Leakage) – NWG (Northumbrian Water Group)
Salary: £34,400 - £43,000 Per Annum Depending On Experience
Location: Washington, Tyne and Wear / Hybrid
Full time, 37 hours per week
About The Role
Join us at Northumbrian Water, where we don't just supply water, we live it. We're passionate about delivering exceptional service to our customers and making a positive impact on the environment and the communities we serve.
We’re excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Network Analyst to become part of our Leakage Strategy Team. Based at Washington, you'll play a key role in helping us achieve our leakage reduction targets and contribute to projects that shape our long‑term strategic direction.
In this dynamic role, you’ll be part of a collaborative team of analysts, working closely to plan and manage initiatives, conduct in‑depth research, analyse complex data, and deliver clear, insightful reports. Your work will directly support our goal of delivering clean, fresh, running water to our customers and ensuring we do so in a sustainable, community‑focused way.
About You
To thrive in this role, you'll bring a strong academic background with a degree‑level qualification in an environmental or numerical subject such as geography, mathematics, or science. Alternatively you may demonstrate equivalent education and hands‑on analytical experience.
We’re looking for someone with a proven ability to work at a high technical and analytical level, with a natural talent for solving complex problems creatively. Your strong interpersonal skills will help you navigate discussions and negotiations effectively with both internal colleagues and external partners.
You’ll be confident in your communication, both written and verbal, and able to work collaboratively to interpret, tailor, and present data in a way that makes sense to a range of audiences. Experience in managing projects that involve collecting, analysing, and reporting on data is key, along with the ability to handle large datasets with ease.
A solid grasp of numerical analysis and basic statistics is essential, as is the ability to quickly learn new systems with minimal support. Ideally, you’ll also have a good understanding of the principles behind demand forecasting and the water balance requirements involved in water resource planning.
We’re looking for someone who is curious, committed, and ready to make an impact.
