Responsibilities
To assist our elderly residents with all activities of daily living; this includes assisting with personal care tasks, dietary intake, mobility etc., whilst upholding choices and preferences and ensuring that dignity is always maintained.
Be accountable for the shift
Liaising with medical professionals and families
Administering medication
Assist residents in personal care (i.e. washing, bathing, dressing, and toileting)
Assist residents to eat and drink
Maintain dignity at all times
Monitor all residents to ensure that their care is to the highest standard
Complete all necessary paperwork
Ensuring effective communication throughout the team
Qualifications and skills
The individual will need 2 years or more Senior Care Assistant experience, working in a residential care home environment (not nursing home). We are looking for people whose values and beliefs are fundamental to the true meaning of 'caring'.
This Post will Require
Enhanced DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Rathgar Care Home.
Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
