Key Responsibilities:
In this Agricultural Technician role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of agricultural machinery and equipment across East Sussex, including:
* Diagnosing and repairing faults on tractors, telehandlers, and farm machinery
* Carrying out routine servicing and preventative maintenance
* Inspecting hydraulic, electrical, engine, and transmission systems
* Completing welding, fabrication, and mechanical repair work when required
* Maintaining trailers, implements, and machinery attachments
* Conducting machinery inspections and ensuring equipment remains roadworthy
* Responding to breakdowns efficiently to reduce downtime
* Replacing worn or damaged components
* Keeping accurate maintenance and service records
* Using diagnostic equipment and technical manuals to identify faults
What we're looking for:
To succeed in this Agricultural Technician position, you'll ideally have:
* Previous experience working on agricultural machinery
* Strong fault-finding and mechanical repair skills
* Experience working as an Agricultural engineer or within a similar environment
* Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
* A practical, hands-on approach with good attention to detail
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team
