Design Manager Role Description: You will play a key role in delivering Design & Build projects from pre-construction through to handover, working closely with internal teams, consultants, and clients to ensure successful project outcomes.
This is a client-facing role, requiring strong technical understanding, coordination of design development, and effective programme delivery.
Typical Projects The business delivers a diverse range of schemes, typically valued between £1m £15m, including: Education facilities (schools, colleges, technical institutes) Healthcare & laboratory environments Commercial & office developments Industrial & manufacturing units Retail & leisure schemes Residential & mixed-use developments Many projects are delivered via Design & Build, making this experience essential.
Design Manager Key Responsibilities: Managing projects through full lifecycle (pre-construction to completion) Coordinating and managing design teams and consultants Overseeing programme, cost, and quality delivery Ensuring compliance with H&S and contractual requirements Acting as the key point of contact for clients and stakeholders Driving a collaborative, solutions-focused project environment Design Manager Candidate Requirements: Proven experience working for a main contractor Strong Design & Build project experience (essential) Background delivering projects in sectors such as education, commercial, healthcare, or industrial Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to xxuwjjq manage multiple packages and design coordination Why Apply?
