Salary: £200-£246 / Year. Job type: Day to Day Cover. Location: Waltham Forest.
Temporary Tenancy Investigator
We’re looking for an experienced investigator to play a key role in tackling tenancy fraud and protecting valuable social housing stock for those in genuine need.
In this role, you’ll:
* Lead tenancy fraud investigations from start to finish.
* Gather and analyse evidence to support repossession of misused homes.
* Work with housing staff, external partners, and enforcement agencies.
* Produce clear, high-quality case reports and updates.
* Deliver fraud awareness training to housing colleagues.
About You
You’ll be confident, self‑motivated, and able to work independently under pressure. You’ll bring:
* A counter‑fraud qualification or strong investigative experience.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation (PACE, RIPA, Fraud Act, POSHFA).
* Experience in social housing fraud or similar investigative work.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload.
This is a temporary position requiring flexibility, including occasional work outside normal office hours. A satisfactory DBS check will be required.
