Job Title: Consultant Clinical Psychologist
Organisation: Care Services To You
Location: Accrington
Salary: Up to£60,000
Contract: Full-time
Care Services To You is a specialist provider of single-occupancy children's homes, offering safe, nurturing, and highly individualised care for children who have experienced multiple placement breakdowns. Many of the young people we support have been or are at risk of admission to secure accommodation or hospital settings, and our mission is to provide them with stability, therapeutic support, and the opportunity to thrive in the community.
We are now seeking an experienced Consultant Clinical Psychologist to join our team and lead on the delivery and development of our clinical services. This is a pivotal role in ensuring that the therapeutic framework underpinning our homes is robust, trauma-informed, and tailored to the unique needs of each child.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead on 12-week assessments and formulations, ensuring care plans are informed by a strong clinical understanding of each child's needs.
* Develop and oversee Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans and therapeutic strategies to promote stability and growth.
* Facilitate and lead team consultations, reflective practice sessions, and clinical discussions to support staff in delivering trauma-informed care.
* Provide direct 1:1 therapeutic sessions to children, where appropriate, to address their emotional and psychological needs.
* Shape and develop the organisation's clinical framework, ensuring evidence-based practices are embedded throughout our services.
* Collaborate closely with operational teams, external professionals, and families to ensure holistic and consistent support for each young person.
About You:
* Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent).
* HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist.
* Significant post-qualification experience working with children and young people who have experienced trauma, attachment difficulties, and complex needs.
* Experience in developing and delivering PBS plans and trauma-informed approaches.
* Strong leadership and consultation skills, with the ability to influence and guide practice within a residential care setting.
* A commitment to preventing hospital or secure admissions by providing children with opportunities to heal, grow, and thrive in a community setting.
Why Join Us?
At Care Services To You, you will be part of a small, dedicated organisation that puts the child at the centre of everything we do. You will have the opportunity to shape clinical practice, develop innovative approaches, and see the impact of your work in transforming children's lives.
