Content Manager, Localization
Tripadvisor is seeking a Content Manager to develop culturally-aligned experiences for our French market, ensuring our content fosters trust, resonates with local audiences, and increases conversion. This hybrid role requires two days per week in our London office.
What You'll Do
* Craft, Adapt & Refine: Localize, write, edit, and transcreate clear, culturally-relevant, compelling content across all user-facing touchpoints.
* Shape the Content Strategy: Partner with product managers, UX designers, SEO, vendors, and researchers to define and execute content strategies for high-priority product features from concept to launch.
* AI-native localization: Manage LLM-driven workflows, help design prompts, and leverage machine translation to protect quality, maximize efficiency, and scale content volumes.
* Think as a user: Advocate for local user needs by synthesizing research and market trends.
* Drive impact through testing: Initiate and support A/B tests on localized content to measure impact on conversion, engagement, and traffic.
* Collaborate and iterate: Integrate content into design and development from the beginning, providing feedback to global colleagues and contributing to a unified strategy.
* Own and maintain quality: Ensure all content adheres to Tripadvisor Group's brand voice and tone while feeling natural to local users; partner with translation vendors to create, maintain, and optimize linguistic assets.
* Champion usability: Operate within a continuous QA mentality, proactively identifying and fixing content-related issues and making data-driven, user-centric recommendations.
What We're Looking For
* Native-level fluency and cultural authority: Deep, intuitive understanding of the language, culture, and user behaviour in the French market.
* 5+ years of experience: Experience in localization, UX writing, transcreation, translation, content design, or related role within a global e-commerce or tech company; travel industry experience is a significant plus.
* Open-minded, innovative approach: Use AI as an enabler, experiment with technology to automate routine tasks, and focus on creative solutions.
* Excellent command of localization practices: Master foundational internationalization and localization principles; 3+ years with translation management systems and familiarity with linguistic quality assurance frameworks (MQM or similar).
* A solid understanding of UX content methodologies: Comfortable working with design tools (Figma, Miro), analyzing user research, and using data to inform decisions.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills: Build collaborative relationships with cross-functional colleagues, using data and user insights to demonstrate how localized content strategy drives global growth.
