About the Role Walsall Council is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Social Worker to join its Children's Safeguarding service on a temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled practitioner who is confident in managing complex cases and committed to achieving positive outcomes for children and families. Responsibilities Hold and manage a varied and complex caseload in line with statutory requirements. Undertake high‑quality assessments, direct work, and intervention planning to safeguard children at risk of harm. Lead on child protection processes, including Section 47 enquiries, Initial Child Protection Conferences, and Child in Need planning. Produce timely, evidence‑based reports for court proceedings and multi‑agency meetings.
