GSL Education are seeking dedicated and qualified Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant, to work at an Alternative Provision in York, North Yorkshire.

Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
* Provide individualised and small-group support to KS2 pupils with SEN.
* Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering differentiated lessons.
* Use positive behaviour support strategies and de-escalation techniques.
* Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
* Support with personal development, emotional regulation and wellbeing activities.
* Prepare classroom materials and maintain a safe, welcoming learning environment.
Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant Requirements:
* Experience working with children with SEN or within an alternative provision setting is highly desirable.
* NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
* A good standard of literacy and numeracy.
* A calm, empathetic and consistent approach.
* Have an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the update service (or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
