Location: BB8 post code region, Lancashire
Hours: 07:45 – 16:30 (Monday to Thursday), Friday 07:45 – 12:45
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience (competitive bracket to be discussed on receipt of suitable applicants)

Role summary:
Production Manager is the heartbeat of the manufacturing shop floor. The role requires:
We are seeking a results-driven Production Manager to oversee our clients’ manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for coordinating the production process(es), managing shop floor personnel, and ensuring that all resources (people and material) are optimized effectively to meet outputs and deliverables. The ideal candidate is a strategic problem-solver with a “hands on” leadership style, experience in LEAN manufacturing techniques.
Desired skills and qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor’s degree or HND, alongside LEAN Manufacturing
* Experience: 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 2 years’ proven experience in a supervisory or management role.
* IT Skills: Proficiency in ERP / MRP software, SAP Business One is an advantage
* Analytics: Strong ability to interpret production data and financial reports to make informed decisions.
* Soft skills: Exceptional and motivational leadership, conflict resolution, and time-management abilities.
The responsibilities of the role:
* Production planning: Develop and execute production schedules to meet customer demands while minimizing downtime.
* Team leadership: Supervise and motivate a diverse team of production staff, ensuring clear communication of KPIs, expectations of works, and safety protocols.
* Quality control: Implement and monitor rigorous quality standards to ensure finished products meet specifications and reduce waste.
* Process improvement: Identify bottlenecks and implement LEAN manufacturing methodologies to improve throughput and efficiency.
* Safety & Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with local regulations and internal safety policies.
* Equipment maintenance: Coordinate with the operations department to schedule preventative maintenance and minimize unexpected machinery failures
