About the Role
You will act as the direct link between Northumbria University and schools and colleges primarily in the North West region, delivering engaging workshops, presentations, and activities to promote the university and encourage applications from high‑quality students from diverse backgrounds. The role is fixed‑term until 30 June 2028 and is home‑based, with a requirement to drive long distances on evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
* Deliver workshops, presentations, and outreach activities to students.
* Represent the university at higher education exhibitions and other events.
* Collaborate with coordinators to develop and deliver recruitment and widening‑participation events.
* Build and maintain relationships with schools and colleges through phone, email, and face‑to‑face contact.
* Achieve specific regional outreach targets and use data and intelligence to inform recruitment strategies.
* Work within the North West postcode area, relocating as needed.
* Work some evenings and weekends to support events and travel commitments.
Qualifications
* Honours degree or equivalent.
* Must live in a North West postcode.
* Excellent organisational, planning, and administrative skills.
* Experience with young people or a demonstrated interest in working with them.
* Experience in customer service and/or managing relationships.
* Excellent communication skills, including the ability to deliver presentations and workshops to varied audiences.
* Current full UK driving licence and willingness to drive long distances, including evenings and weekends.
* Requirement for a DBS check.
