Key Account Manager - Plastics Industry
Salary: up to £60,000 per year + 20% bonus + company car + fuel card + expenses paid for
Location: WFH Contract + Extensive Travel Across Europe
Hours: Monday to Friday, no weekends

The Opportunity
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Key Account Manager with a strong background in Key Account Management and experience in plastics or polymers to join our clients high-performing sales team.
In this important role, you will take ownership of a large UK portfolio with approximately 80% of your focus on managing and growing existing key accounts, and 20% dedicated to new business development.
You’ll enjoy the flexibility of a home-based contract, paired with frequent travel to customers across the UK region and occasionally beyond.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced sales professional who thrives on building long-term relationships, driving growth and working closely with international teams.
Packaging and Plastics industry experience would be highly beneficial, and we are particularly interested in candidates based in the United Kingdom or Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
* Strengthen and grow relationships with major clients, acting as their trusted advisor and main point of contact
* Understand their evolving business needs, develop tailored solutions and lead contract negotiations (price, product mix, profitability)
* Manage and develop business across your area to achieve and exceed sales objectives
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the client base
* Implement our clients business strategy to drive revenue growth
* Prepare budgets and forecasts and actively promote the company’s sustainability initiatives as a growth lever
* Work closely with internal sales teams, product teams and customer service teams across multiple countries to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction
* Analyse sales performance, track key metrics and provide regular updates and insights to senior management
* Stay ahead of market trends, customer needs and competitor activities to identify opportunities and strengthen market position
* Conduct in-depth market research and analysis
* Partner with various stakeholders internally and externally to build trust and ensure successful project outcomes
What We’re Looking For
* A strong track record in B2B sales, ideally within a manufacturing or plastics/packaging environment
* Minimum of 5-years of experience in planning and executing successful sales and marketing strategies
* Proven expertise in managing high-value customer relationships and delivering results
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or related experience / field preferred
* Excellent communication skills (English essential), with the ability to engage at all levels
* Highly self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset and driven to succeed
* Open-minded and collaborative, with strong networking and relationship-building skills
* Willingness to travel extensively across the UK region and beyond; full, clean driving licence required
