The Role

As a Store Purchasing Manager (Insite Manager), you will be a pivotal part of the team, contributing to its success. Ideally, you will have a background in purchasing or store management within manufacturing, Maintenance Repair and Overhaul spares, PPE, or a trade counter environment. However, full training will be provided, so don’t let this stop you from applying if you possess the right traits!

We support our customers by ensuring they have all the parts, spares, and tooling they need to operate, as well as working hard to secure the best deals with suppliers.

We have an exciting opportunity to join one of our Insites. We are looking for an ambitious and dynamic individual to manage our Engineering Spares Stores service at a well-known household name in the Food sector. Your role will be to develop the business by capitalising on profitable sales opportunities while maintaining excellent customer care standards in the stores. You will aim to exceed customer expectations whenever possible.

We have ambitious plans for this site, as the stores service spans two separate manufacturing sites located very close to each other. You will have the opportunity to grow with our developing plans as the physical stores provision and structure evolve.

Key Responsibilities

1. Support the site in sourcing (Stock/Non-Stock) items in line with customer requirements and demands.
2. Support consistent delivery of agreed levels of customer service within the stores across both inventory and purchasing.
3. Deliver unit cost reduction savings against previous suppliers and OEM.
4. Support customer site personnel with enquiries and issues.
5. Arrange site visits with preferred supply partners to identify and assist with value-added activities.
6. Proactively seek profitable opportunities on site by liaising with all departments.

Key Skills / Qualifications

1. Ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
2. Self-driven and motivated to complete each task successfully.
3. Experience in a similar purchasing or stores management role, with transferable skills.
4. An understanding of staff management, as our plans for the twin sites may include staff responsibilities.
5. Curiosity to develop product knowledge and industry awareness.
