Job Title: Meat Clerk (Part-Time)
Join our team as a Meat Clerk and help us provide excellent customer service while processing, packaging, and stocking meat products according to Meat Standards. Responsibilities include cleaning work areas, unloading stock, reloading salvage, and performing duties of a seafood clerk when assigned.
Requirements:
* Must be at least 18 years old
* High school diploma or GED, or 1-3 months related experience
* Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
* Basic math skills for handling money and weights
* Ability to follow instructions and solve problems
Skills and Certifications:
* Exceptional interpersonal skills
* Willingness to participate in training
* Completion of company training including food safety and sanitation
Physical Demands:
Must regularly stand, walk, handle objects, reach, talk, hear, and taste or smell. Occasionally climb, balance, kneel, or crouch. Must lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Vision abilities required include close vision, color, and depth perception.
Work Environment:
Work is performed in a cool environment (34-36°F), with frequent exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals. Noise level is moderate to loud.
