The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils across the primary age range, working closely with class teachers to deliver engaging learning experiences and provide targeted support to individual pupils and small groups. You will help create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment that enables all children to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Essential Requirements
1. Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a UK primary school.
2. Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum.
3. Experience supporting pupils with a range of learning needs and abilities.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
6. A proactive, flexible, and professional approach to supporting learning.
7. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
Desirable Requirements
8. Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3).
9. Experience supporting pupils with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, or speech and language needs.
10. Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection responsibilities.
11. Experience delivering intervention programmes in literacy and numeracy.
