Overview
Join to apply for the Occupational Health Nurse role at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse with Occupational Health or Practice Nurse experience to join an established in-house Nurse-led Occupational Health Service at Nottinghamshire Healthcare Trust. The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide advice and support to Trust staff and managers.
The Staff Health & Wellbeing Services at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust includes Occupational Health, Wellbeing, Mediation, Physiotherapy, Counselling and Psychological Services. Although this role will be based at Duncan Macmillan House, the post holder will be required to work flexibly between other Trust sites to meet service requirements.
Responsibilities
* Carry out a varied role including immunisation assessments / clinics, venepuncture, pre-employment fitness assessment, advice to staff and managers, risk assessment-based health surveillance programmes, and blood exposure incident support and advice.
* Possess clinical skills to undertake activities including venepuncture, spirometry, skin surveillance, immunisations and other specialist screening procedures for staff health.
* Maintain clinical practice and registration in accordance with the NMC code. Be responsible for updating own professional knowledge in Occupational Health, including identifying and addressing professional needs.
* Work flexibly between Trust sites to meet service requirements.
* Opportunities for additional training and development to undertake the full remit of the post.
Qualifications / Essential Criteria
* Registered Nurse with Occupational Health or Practice Nurse experience (Band 5).
* Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team to provide advice to staff and managers.
* Clinical skills including venepuncture, spirometry, skin surveillance, immunisations and other screening procedures.
* Maintain NMC registration and commitment to ongoing professional development in Occupational Health.

Note: Applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment: standard £26.40 or enhanced £54.40. The DBS application cost will be deducted from salary over the first 2 months of employment. The DBS Update Service is encouraged; an annual fee of £16 applies.
