SEND Learning Support Assistant
Your New JobYou will be working as a SEND Learning Support Assistant supporting pupils with a range ofplex learning needs, including autism, physical disabilities, andmunication difficulties. This is a full-time, temporary role with the potential to be permanent for the right candidate. You’ll be working closely with class teachers and the wider support team to deliver tailored interventions, facilitate inclusive learning, and help pupils achieve their individual goals. The role is to start ASAP.

It caters for children aged 3–11 with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The school is known for its inclusive ethos, innovative curriculum, and multidisciplinary approach to supporting pupils. Staff work collaboratively with therapists, medical professionals, and families to ensure every child receives a personalised education in a nurturing environment. The school has excellent facilities, including sensory rooms, therapy spaces, and outdoor learning areas.
What You'll Need to Succeed
1. Experience working with children or young people with SEND, ideally in a school or care setting
2. A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting pupils withplex needs
3. Strongmunication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
4. Amitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
5. A DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Hays
