Teaching
* Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning in line with the EYFS framework
* Create stimulating indoor and outdoor learning environments, making use of the school's extensive outdoor space
* Promote early communication, literacy, and numeracy skills
* Maintain good behaviour by following the school's pupil behaviour policy and procedures
* Ensure punctuality and establish a purposeful working atmosphere during all learning activities
* Maintain excellent classroom management with due regard to health and safety policies
* Set appropriate and challenging work for all pupils
* Identify and work appropriately with 'special educational needs' pupils and 'academically more able' students
Assessment, recording and reporting
* Observe, assess, and record children's development using EYFS assessment methods
* Track progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs
* Support smooth transition into Key Stage 1
* Carry out assessment programmes, as agreed by the school
* Complete pupil reports in line with school policy
* Attend parents' evenings as required and keep parents informed about their child's performance and future targets
Child Development and Welfare
* Provide a safe, caring, and inclusive environment
* Support children's social, emotional, and behavioural development
* Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times

* Attend and contribute to team and full staff meetings.

* Undertake any other duties that are within the scope of the post, as determined by the Headteacher.
