Location: Brighton (BN1) Hours: 37 hours/week, Monday-Friday (flexible between 8am-5pm) Salary: £35,000 per annum Contract: Fixed-term maternity cover, full-time About Jack Rafter We're not your typical construction company. Based in the heart of Brighton, we provide carpentry services to main contractors and deliver full builds for both commercial and domestic clients. Join us at an exciting time as we build something special together. About the Role Are you a highly organised administrator with construction industry experience? Do you enjoy juggling multiple tasks, supporting great people, and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes? We're looking for a proactive Construction Project Coordinator to join our friendly, close-knit team in Brighton on a fixed-term maternity cover contract. This is a varied, hands-on role covering an important position within the business while our current team member is on maternity leave. You'll play a key part in helping our projects run efficiently by supporting the management team with administration across operations, invoicing, payments, compliance, documentation, and day-to-day project coordination. You'll be joining a growing business at an exciting time, with the opportunity to make a real contribution, keep key processes running smoothly, and work closely with experienced construction professionals. What You'll Be Doing Managing phone and email communications, ensuring messages and queries reach the right people Keeping project files and drawings organised and up to date using modern digital systems Tracking labour invoices and maintaining Excel cost trackers Assisting with credit control and payment follow-ups Supporting client billing, including applications for payment Co-ordinating fleet admin and vehicle paperwork Helping submit forms (e.g. building control, PQs, CHAS/Constructionline) Managing diaries, training logs, retention deadlines, and office supplies Assisting with Risk Assessments and Method Statements coordination Supporting quality control processes and inspection documentation Modern Tools & Technology We believe in working smart, not hard.
