There are five Case Management Teams, each covering a different area of Shropshire, and you will be placed in the team that suits your location and skills the best. There is one Court Team. You will work with colleagues who have a range of skills and experience, supervised by passionate Team Managers. Each team has a senior practitioner to support you in your role, whether finding forms or completing joint visits.

Working within the Case Management Team offers a dynamic, varied caseload, working with families to ensure children's safety and well-being long-term. You will gain experience working with families on Child in Need, Child Protection Plans, PLO, and court cases involving looked after children. The Court Team manages a protected caseload of children subject to proceedings, with families allocated based on skills and experience, supported by the management team and other services. There are opportunities to support families to permanence, including closure, step-down to Early Help, adoption, or transfer to Looked After Children teams.
Salary ranges from £39,862 to £49,282 per annum (dependent on experience), for 37 hours per week, on a permanent basis. ASYE starting salaries are £34,434 to £36,363 per annum. A £15,000 retention payment is offered over two years.
