KHR are partnering with an internationally recognised specialist manufacturing company that delivers high:performance engineered systems for complex research and industrial environments.
Due to continued growth, the business is looking to hire a detail:focused Mechanical Assembly Technician to join the team at this exciting stage of expansion.
The Role
As a Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for the assembly of high:precision mechanical and electrical sub:assemblies within a controlled cleanroom environment.
You will support the build, test, and validation of complex engineered systems, ensuring all components meet strict quality and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Assemble mechanical and electrical components to engineering drawings and specifications
* Carry out specialist wiring and electrical testing of precision sub:assemblies
* Maintain cleanroom assembly standards and procedures
* Support the transition of new products from NPI into full production
* Create and update manufacturing instructions and build documentation
* Record and maintain test data, serial numbers, and quality control information
* Ensure full traceability of assemblies for future service and support
* Support continuous improvement of assembly and manufacturing processes
* Work closely with engineering teams to resolve build or test issues
* Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and cleanroom protocols
Candidate Profile
* Experience in mechanical or electromechanical assembly within a manufacturing environment
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
* Strong attention to detail with a quality:first mindset
* Experience in low:volume, high:precision or bespoke manufacturing environment
* Comfortable with fine assembly, hand fitting, and specialist wiring tasks
* Able to work under pressure and meet defined production deadlines
* Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office
* Experience working with high:technology or cleanroom manufacturing environments (desirable)
* Familiarity with precision instrumentation or advanced scientific equipment
* Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering (desirable)
* Occasional travel to client sites may be required (planned in advance, expenses covered)
* Due to location, a full driving licence is required
