Lead the voice of a fast-growing industry
* The UK Short Term Accommodation Association (STAA) is the leading trade body for the UK’s short‑term rental sector. We advocate for responsible growth, fair and workable regulation, and strong industry standards.
* We’re looking for a commercially astute, operationally strong CEO who can grow a lean organisation and represent the sector with credibility in policy and political settings. This is a hands-on role with real ownership.
A hands-on high profile leadership role in a growing trade association

You will:

* Strengthen operational excellence and governance
* Represent the sector with credibility — including with politicians, officials and regulators across the political spectrum
About you
You’re likely to be:
* An experienced organisational leader who enjoys being hands-on
* Commercially and financially confident (comfortable owning budgets and driving growth)
* Operationally strong and delivery-focused
* A clear communicator with good judgement in senior stakeholder environments
* Comfortable in policy settings — able to brief, influence and build relationships over time
* Able to work constructively with people who don’t start from your position, including politicians from different parties and viewpoints
* Resilient, pragmatic, and self-directed
Relevant backgrounds may include:
* Trade associations / membership bodies
* Hospitality / travel / platforms / adjacent regulated sectors
* Commercial or operational leadership roles with external affairs responsibility
Why join STAA?
* High-profile national leadership role
* Genuine autonomy and ownership
* Flexible working (FT or PT)
* Fully remote, with regular UK travel
* £95,000 FTE (pro rata)
