Our client seeks a tax consultant to join their team based in Bristol. The ideal candidate will be CTA qualified with genuine interest in providing wide ranging advisory work for OMB clients including tax investigations, IHT and CGT work and transaction tax. In this role you will report directly to the Tax Director.
Day to day to this role will involve:
• Managing on-going HMRC investigations (Such as IR35 cases)
• Business incorporations (mainly property partnership incorporations)
• Capital Gains calculations.
• EMI scheme advice & set-up (including the annual submission of EMI400)
• Company restructures (Such as share transfers, share-for-share exchange, other company secretarial related tasks)
• Mergers / De-mergers
• IHT planning (involving the advice & set up of Trusts)
• Seeking HMRC clearance on various tax matters
• Providing comprehensive tax planning and advisory services for clients.
• Conducting tax research whilst remaining abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations of business decisions and transactions.
• Collaborating with other departments to ensure tax compliance and alignment with overall business objectives.
• Communicating complex tax concepts clearly and effectively to both clients and stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will be qualified or part qualified in ATT/CTA/ACCA/ACA/AAT. A good all round tax knowledge would be helpful including a good working knowledge of personal tax, corporate tax, and trusts. You will also need be proactive when managing existing client relationships and developing new ones. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are essential for the role as well as the ability to plan and organise workload independently and effectively.
