This post is for a Healthcare Support Worker within the X-ray and DXA team at Dewsbury and District Hospital. The hours of work are normally 8-4 or 9-5:30.
Responsibilities
* Rotate between Dewsbury and District Hospital and the Community Diagnostic Centre (Westgate Retail Park, Wakefield).
* Pick up further shifts on evenings, weekends, and nights.
* Work under the direction of a registrant (usually a radiographer) and participate fully in the delivery of planned/acute care of patients attending the radiology service for treatment/investigations.
* Provide general support in the X-ray and DXA team, including 1-1 patient‑centred care, assisting patients with dressing changes, general cleaning and tidying of the department, supporting patients through examinations, and performing some admin/clerical roles.
