A well-established manufacturing business specialising in high-performance industrial components is seeking a technically minded Sales Engineer to drive growth across key sectors. This is a hybrid role suited to a commercially astute engineer who enjoys client interaction, solving technical challenges, and developing tailored solutions in the B2B manufacturing space.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * \n\n Client Relationship Management:\n Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, distributors, and end-users across the UK and Europe, particularly within the manufacturing and engineering sectors.\n\n * \n\n Solution Selling:\n Work closely with clients to understand their technical requirements and provide customised component-based solutions aligned to performance and cost goals.\n\n * \n\n Project Management Support:\n Liaise with internal technical and production teams to support product development, from initial enquiry through to delivery and aftersales support.\n\n * \n\n New Business Development:\n Identify and target new customers in key sectors such as automation, transport, and industrial machinery.\n\n * \n\n Technical Presentations:\n Deliver compelling, technically sound proposals and presentations to both engineering and procurement audiences.\n\n * \n\n Market Intelligence:\n Gather market and competitor intelligence to feed into product development and commercial strategy.\n\nIdeal Candidate Profile:\n\n * \n\n Proven experience in a Sales Engineer, Technical Sales, or Applications Engineer role within the manufacturing or industrial components sector.\n\n * \n\n Strong mechanical engineering background; HND/Degree preferred.\n\n * \n\n Comfortable reading technical drawings and discussing technical specifications.\n\n * \n\n Ability to work autonomously with a consultative sales approach.\n\n * \n\n Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally across the UK & EU.\n\nWhat’s on Offer:\n\n * \n\n Hybrid working model with flexibility.\n\n * \n\n Autonomy in managing your own territory and client relationships.\n\n * \n\n Real opportunity for progression within a forward-thinking industrial business.\n\n * \n\n Comprehensive support and training on products and processes
