We’re looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Customer Sales Advisor to support our growing Contract Catering / Compass division. In this office-based role, you’ll manage a portfolio of customers, provide outstanding service, and help drive sales performance. It’s ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, sales-driven environment and enjoys building long-lasting client relationships. Key Responsibilities Answer incoming calls within 3 rings Respond to customer emails within 24 hours Action credit control notes within 48 hours Accurately process customer orders and minimise errors Create quotations within 48 hours and look to maximise spend Keep internal systems updated with accurate and relevant information Identify new business opportunities from inbound and outbound calls Promote exclusive brand products where appropriate Offer suitable alternative products to avoid backorders Manage customer communication around backorders professionally Use marketing materials to support customer engagement and conversion Handle live chat in accordance with the team rota Provide support to National Account Managers and Executives with product sourcing, tenders, etc. Make proactive outbound calls to trading customers to generate sales Work to and achieve agreed KPIs Attend regular one-to-ones to review performance and training needs Follow all procedures as outlined in the Sales Desk Quality Manual Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times Person Specification ✅ Essential Attributes Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written Confident using computers and technology Previous experience in a customer service or office-based sales environment Comfortable with both incoming and outgoing phone calls Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Ability to meet targets and manage workload effectively Strong organisational skills and time management Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team Positive attitude and willingness to learn Desirable Attributes Knowledge of the catering equipment or foodservice industry Experience in meeting revenue targets and KPIs Strong analytical and administrative abilities Tenacious, methodical, and structured approach Adaptable and open to change Willingness to work additional hours when needed Honest, enthusiastic, and reliable
