Frimley Park Hospital - Infusion Staff Nurse (Band 5)
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Intravenous and Vascular Access Services team working in the Infusion unit.
The IVAS unit delivers inpatient and outpatient services to patients who require intravenous therapies and vascular access device insertion, care and maintenance.
The successful candidate will be experienced in the administration of intravenous therapy, placing peripheral cannula and undertaking venepuncture.
The post also involves managing vascular access devices and using electronic patient records such as EPIC.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in the administration of intravenous therapy, placing peripheral cannulas and undertaking venepuncture.
* Experience in managing vascular access devices.
* Experience using electronic patient records such as EPIC.
Responsibilities
* Support and work with the IVAS team in the delivery of outpatient and ambulatory care IV services at the Frimley site.
* Assist in delivering outpatient IV services to prevent admission or readmission to the Trust and, where possible, deliver bespoke IV services to patients.
* Main duties include IV therapy administration, venepuncture and cannulation, vascular access device care and maintenance, and working with EPIC.
* This clinical role is part of developing and increasing the IV services framework for the Frimley site of Frimley Health.
