* CAD Engineer
* Location: Cambridge
* Hybrid working: 2 days onsite per week
* Contract length: 6 months
* Start date: ASAP (Mid-June target)
* Hourly rate: £17.79 – £30.26 PAYE
PE Global is currently recruiting for an experienced CAD Engineer to join a leading global healthcare organisation on a 6-month contract basis.
This role will support a key engineering data migration project involving the transfer of CAD and product lifecycle data.
Key Responsibilities:
o Support the cleansing, validation, and migration of engineering data from PDM into Siemens Teamcenter PLM
o Work with SolidWorks and the SWIM interface to facilitate accurate and efficient data transfer
o Review CAD files, metadata, part structures, and associated technical documentation
o Identify and resolve data inconsistencies prior to migration
o Collaborate with engineering, IT, and PLM stakeholders throughout the migration process
o Troubleshoot data-related issues and validate migrated records
o Ensure compliance with company standards, naming conventions, and documentation requirements
o Maintain accurate records of migration progress, issues, and resolutions
Required Experience & Skills:
o Proven experience in a CAD Engineer, CAD Administrator, or similar technical engineering role
o Strong understanding of PDM and PLM systems
o Hands-on experience with Siemens Teamcenter and SolidWorks
o Previous involvement in data cleansing, data migration, or system transition projects
o Understanding of CAD file structures, metadata, and product lifecycle processes
o Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage large technical datasets
o Strong communication and collaboration skills
Qualifications:
o Degree or higher education qualification in Engineering, Design, or a related discipline preferred
o Apprenticeship qualifications and equivalent practical experience will also be considered
o NVQ/BTEC qualifications accepted
o Minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grade C/4 or above)
o Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
o Strong written English skills
