Overview
AXA Health's Support Team provides medical information helpline support with nurses, midwives, counsellors and pharmacists. You will offer expert medical support and guidance to customers and their families, including empathetic guidance on a broad range of health-related issues. You will be part of an experienced team and contribute to evolving services for customers. The role includes comprehensive training and equipment, with regular opportunities for professional updating to support ongoing registration requirements. AXA supports flexible working; most shifts are from home with occasional office days at Tunbridge Wells (about every 4 weeks) and possible additional ad-hoc office days. A quiet, private space at home is required for work.
Responsibilities
* Provide empathetic guidance and support on a broad range of health-related issues to our members and their families.
* Maintain helplines supporting members and their families across various shifts, including evenings, nights and weekends.
* Support members through a variety of media including telephone (inbound and outbound), email, text, and live chat.
* Act as a clinical expert and role model, providing specialist knowledge and assistance and building strong relationships.
* Contribute to team, department and wider business targets and continuously develop professional skills and clinical knowledge.
Qualifications
* Current registration with the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC).
* Nursing diploma or Bachelor of Science (BSc) in nursing.
* Additional qualification in midwifery would be beneficial.
* Substantive post-registration clinical or insurance experience.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills; effective relationship management; IT and social media skills.
* Eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
Induction & Training
There is a comprehensive paid induction for this role. For the initial 2 weeks, you will be in Tunbridge Wells office (Mon-Fri, 8:30am-5:00pm); remaining induction tasks are completed remotely.
Working Arrangements
Hours: 37.5 per week on a 4-week rota, including evenings, nights and weekends. You will work 2 weekends every 4 weeks. A shift allowance is provided.
Pre-employment & Compliance
* As a regulated financial services company, successful candidates will be subject to pre-employment checks and background screening every 4 years under the IDD regime with an annual declaration in interim years.
* Screening is required under FCA and PRA standards; details are provided during the process.
