Job Description
Programme Manager – West Yorkshire (Home-based)
Up to £45,000 pa + generous benefits
Ref: NC 1371
We’re looking for a home-based Programme Manager to lead an exciting new programme supporting householders to progress with domestic energy retrofit across West Yorkshire. You’ll oversee delivery across Calderdale, Leeds, Bradford, Kirklees, and Wakefield, so you must be based in West Yorkshire and have strong knowledge of the local area.
This is not an IT or construction project management role. We're seeking someone with experience delivering programmes on behalf of clients, working with partners and suppliers, managing quality assurance, and building strategic partnerships with local authorities and other organisations.
What you’ll be doing:
* Managing a consortium of delivery partners to provide a one-stop shop for householders
* Leading on the quality management of the programme
* Developing strong strategic partnerships with local authorities, suppliers, and finance partners
* Supporting delivery of services including:
* Remote and in-person energy advice
* Home visits and installation coordination
* Ongoing relationship management with stakeholders
What you’ll need:
* Proven experience in programme or project management
* A track record of managing delivery on behalf of a client
* Strong coordination and stakeholder engagement skills
* Experience working with external partners and suppliers
* Budget and performance management experience
* Passion for sustainability and community impact
A culture that supports you
At Energy Saving Trust, flexible working is more than a policy — it’s part of our culture. As a family-friendly employer, we support our colleagues to balance their work and personal lives, whether through flexible hours, compressed weeks, or remote-first arrangements.
Whether you're working from home or visiting one of our hubs in London, Edinburgh, Cardiff or Belfast, you'll find a supportive, inclusive, and trusting environment that helps you thrive. In fact, one of the biggest challenges some of our leaders face is encouraging teams to take more time off — now that’s a culture of trust and autonomy.
What you’ll get:
* 25 days’ annual leave + bank holidays, with additional leave earned through length of service
* Three extra days off over Christmas as a gesture of goodwill
* A competitive pension scheme with generous employer contributions
* Flexible working options including remote, hybrid, and compressed hours
* Two paid volunteering days per year to support causes that matter to you
* A purpose-driven, inclusive team environment where your voice matters
