Quantity Surveyor
Location: Office based, Bromley
Projects: South East London and London
An established and well respected residential developer and contractor based in Bromley is looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team due to continued growth and a strong forward order book. The business delivers high quality residential and mixed use schemes across South East London and London and has built a reputation for long term client relationships, repeat work and a collaborative working culture.
This is a fully office based position, working closely with the Commercial Manager and project delivery teams. All projects are based locally across London and the South East, meaning no long distance travel or time spent away from home. The role will suit a Quantity Surveyor who enjoys being involved in the full commercial lifecycle of projects and wants to work in a stable environment where quality and delivery are prioritised over volume.
Responsibilities
* Commercial management of multiple residential schemes from pre‑construction through to final account.
* Cost planning and budgeting, procurement of subcontractor packages, preparation and agreement of valuations.
* Management and assessment of variations, change control under JCT contracts, applications for payment, cost reporting and regular forecasting.
* Work closely with site teams, consultants and the supply chain to maintain strong commercial control and support successful project delivery.
Qualifications
* Experience working within residential construction or housebuilding.
* Confident in managing own projects with minimal supervision.
* Solid understanding of JCT forms of contract.
* Practical and proactive approach to problem solving.
* Commercially aware, organised and looking to progress within a business that values trust, accountability and long‑term development.
