A secondary school based in Sefton is looking for a full-time English teacher to join our team in September 2024.
About the roleAs an English teacher, you will be responsible for:
1. Planning, preparing and delivering engaging and effective lessons that meet the needs and abilities of all learners.
2. Assessing, recording and reporting on the progress and attainment of students
3. Providing feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their skills and confidence
4. Contributing to the development of the English curriculum and departmental policies
5. Collaborating with other teachers and staff to share best practices and support the school’s vision and ethos
6. Participating in professional development activities and meetings
About youTo be successful in this role, you will need:
7. A relevant degree and a qualified teacher status (QTS)
8. Experience of teaching English at KS3 and KS4 level
9. A passion for the English language and literature and a desire to inspire students
10. Amitment to the Catholic ethos and values of the school
11. Excellentmunication, organisation and interpersonal skills
12. A willingness to contribute to the extracurricular activities of the school
