Logistics Administrator

Location: Grays
Hours: Monday to Friday,

08:00-17:00 or 06:00-15:00 Split shift
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: Up to £30,000 (DOE)

About the Role

Are you a highly organised logistics professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Do you take pride in keeping operations smooth, accurate, and efficient?

We're looking for a Logistics Administrator to play a key role in supporting daily transport operations. From driver scheduling and costings to paperwork and compliance, you'll be the behind-the-scenes force keeping everything on track. If you have solid logistics experience and a proactive mindset, this is an excellent opportunity to grow within a supportive, no-nonsense team.

What You'll Be Doing

Creating accurate daily costings and allocating charges across sites

Building and distributing efficient driver schedules

Preparing job packs and dispatch paperwork

Raising purchase orders for third-party hauliers

Liaising with internal teams, suppliers, and live job sites

Submitting movement orders for wide loads/STGO

Downloading/uploading tachograph data for compliance reviews

Supporting transport planning and day-to-day logistics operations

What You'll Bring

Must-Have Experience & Skills

Previous experience in logistics administration or a transport office

Confident with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Excellent organisational skills and ability to multitask under pressure

High attention to detail and a proactive, hands-on approach

Clear, professional communication skills

A team-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently when needed

Nice to Have (or Willing to Learn)

Familiarity with the construction or plant industry

Understanding of Driver Hours & Working Time Directive

Awareness of FORS standards and transport compliance
