The Gastroenterology team at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit a qualified Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join the Gastroenterology team. The post focuses on two areas of care: Haemochromatosis and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).
This role is ideal for an established Advanced Clinical Practitioner seeking relevant training in gastroenterology patient assessment and management. There is strong support from the divisional management team to develop these roles in practice, offering opportunities to gain skills and experience in advanced practice.
We seek an enthusiastic, committed individual capable of autonomous working, passionate about delivering high-quality care, and supporting development and succession planning of colleagues. The trust is committed long-term to developing a team of Advanced Clinical Practitioners to enhance quality, safety, and staff development through audit and training.
The post involves decision-making autonomy, responsibility, and accountability as an experienced practitioner demonstrating clinical autonomy and complex decision-making within their specialist field, utilizing evidence-based practice. The role includes leadership, development, and supervision responsibilities.
Applicants should hold a master’s qualification or have an ePortfolio evidencing advanced working levels, with completed speciality-specific competencies. The role requires working independently across the four pillars of advanced practice: clinical practice, management and leadership, education, and research.
