About the Opportunity
A leading SaaS provider within the finance technology sector is looking for an ambitious Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join its growing commercial team.
This is a newly created position offering the chance to help shape and build an outbound sales function from the ground up. You will identify and develop new opportunities, nurture warm leads, and support a team of experienced Business Development Managers in driving revenue growth across the UK market.
The ideal person will bring energy, initiative and a strong commercial mindset. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys structured outreach, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to progress into senior sales or leadership roles as the function expands.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Generating and qualifying new business opportunities through proactive outreach across phone, LinkedIn, email and events
* Nurturing warm marketing leads and guiding them through the early stages of the sales process
* Collaborating with marketing to align messaging and support targeted campaigns
* Maintaining accurate CRM records and providing regular activity updates to the Sales Manager
* Supporting the Business Development Managers by booking qualified meetings and ensuring smooth handovers
* Contributing ideas and helping to establish a scalable SDR framework for future growth
* Working to improve conversion rates from marketing-qualified leads to opportunities
What We’re Looking For
* A motivated, commercially minded individual with a genuine passion for sales and business development
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with senior finance and operations professionals
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail when managing leads and follow-ups
* Resilient and proactive, with the ability to perform in a growing, fast-paced environment
* A willingness to learn and develop within a supportive team
* Previous experience in SaaS, technology or B2B sales is beneficial but not essential – attitude and aptitude are what matter most
