About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Antenna Hardware Maintenance Engineer to join our team based from North Yorkshire
This role benefits from our 9/75 working pattern, offering a 9 day working fortnight (every other Friday off)
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintenance and repair of RF Antenna Hardware, Antenna Control Equipment, Heavy Ground Terminals and associated Electronic equipment and subsystems
2. System level troubleshooting and troubleshooting to component level for non-Line Replacable Unit (LRU) equipment
3. Diagnostic testing on offline equipment
4. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance
5. Document of activities to high level and strict guidelines
6. Climb vertical ladders up to 25' and carry equipment up to 50 lbs
7. Team provides on call 24/7 emergency response (typically less than once a quarter)
The successful candidate must hold on be able achieve the appropriate level (DV) of security clearance. More details can be found .
Required skills, qualifications and experience
8. Demonstrable experience in an Antenna Hardware Repair / Maintenance Engineering role
9. Knowledge of RF, Digital and Analogue technologies
10. Test equipment experience (Spectrum Analysers, RF Power Meters, Oscilloscopes
11. Understanding of Electrical and Mechanical systems associated with Heavy Ground Terminals, air conditioning and Heating Systems, Drive Motors, Gear and Bearing Mechanical Systems
12. Able to follow flow diagrams and troubleshoot to system level
13. Documentation to high level and strict guidelines
14. Good communication skills comfortable conversing with external stakeholders
15. Self-starter, motivated and willing to take on additional responsibilities
16. Physically fit, confident traversing vertical ladders up to 25' and carry equipment up to 50 lbs
Desirable Skills
17. DV or higher level security clearance
18. Use of MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)
